Business
The decisions taken at the start last the longest. Legal form, shareholdings and funding can be changed later, but rarely for free. Which is why the conversation belongs before the signature.
What this covers
Setting up in Austria
We go through the legal forms with you – sole trader, partnership, GmbH – against your figures rather than rules of thumb. Then the registrations with the tax office, social insurance and the commercial register, the VAT question, and the reliefs a new business is entitled to and often never claims. If you are setting up from abroad, we also cover what a permanent establishment means for you.
Management accounting
What does each product, each job, each location actually earn? We build the cost accounting so that it answers those questions, and set up reporting you can read during the year – not only at the year end.
Business planning
Forecasts, cash-flow projections and funding documents for a bank, a grant body or an investor. We test the assumptions before someone else does, and tell you which of them will not hold.
How it runs
First meeting
You describe what you intend to do. We say which legal form fits, what obligations come with it and roughly what it costs – ongoing and one-off.
Formation
We handle the registrations and coordinate with the notary where one is required. You get a list from us of what has to happen when, and we flag what is coming up.
The first years
Bookkeeping and returns run with us. After the first full year we look at the figures together and correct what turned out differently from the plan.
What to bring
For formation advice
A description of the venture, a rough turnover expectation for the first two years, and whether you are setting up alone or with partners. A finished business plan is not required – we build that with you.
For funding
The last two sets of accounts, the current trial balance and the investment list with quotes. What else is asked for depends on the lender; we know the usual requirements.
